Aristotle: Metaphysics: Book Alpha i
I'll also give credit for the copy of Metahpysics I am currently studying.
An awesome summary is provided for the reader of this first section of Book Alpha in the last paragraph.
'all men take what is called "wisdom" to be concerned with the first principles of explanation'
In order of least to most wisest he lists these type of men:
- The man who merely senses things (ie: the man w/o the ability to remember an experience)
- The man of experience (the man who senses and remembers)
- The artist
He also points out that the master worker is wiser than the manual worker. Here, the “master worker” refers to the worker who understands the why and how of things where-as the “manual worker” refers to the worker who only knows that if he does x, y happens.
