Triathlete's Pslam
I'm in an introduction to the Bible class right now and we had to write our own Pslams. A lot of people wrote about the Cubs (this was assigned when we all had our hopes up
*sniffle* ) but I figured I might as well write a prayer that I could actually use some day. On another note, I'm going to give my arms a break for a while and start swimming again next week. I'll just do a lot of running and biking for the next few days.
Triathlete’s Psalm
Lord who has conquered the heavens
Lord who weakened the fist of the pharoahs
Lord of life and Lord of death
Grant me strength insurmountable
That I may finish no longer in only the top 50% of my division
Let those who stand before me
lose all hope before the Lord.
May my enemies be smitten with despair
Let those who stand before me
lose all hope before the Lord.
Make me swim like the hammerhead,
bike with the strength of the Lord
and run like the panther.
Let those who stand before me
lose all hope before the Lord.
Only through the Lord will mine enemies be beaten
Lord, You are good and just and your ear’s are forever listening
I know you will answer my prayer
Let those who stand before me
lose all hope before the Lord.
Lord, in your name I will run the Ironman
I will proclaim to all my enemies that
they have been beaten by the strength of the Lord.
