If you are looking at your Event Viewer and your event logs have reached their max but you can't see any events this one's for you.  This is a known problem and you can get a patch for it from Microsoft PSS (the contact info is contained in the KB Article):

As far as I can tell this problem seems to occur when you leave your event log properties set to their defaults. (IE: “Overwrite events older that n days“ and the system generates more than your maximum log size in n days.)... I don't want to steal all the glory for this post...I found my help via google:
