Swim Caps do more than look cool apparently
I've been avoiding getting a swim cap for the same reason I haven't gotten myself a nice tight speedo. I figure the more resistance I traind with the better. But I just spent a good time online looking at various medical sights google turned up in my search for health and learned that a swim cap will greatly decrease the chance of me getting Swimmer's Ear! YAY!
Apparently swimmer's ear is caused by bacteria getting into the middle ear and then, as you would suspect, the bacteria starts to have it's unholy way with your ear. So everytime you swim your covering your ear up and thus decreasing your chances of getting swimmer's ear. Plus it looks cool when you show up for a 5:30 AM swim session with a cap from your last race ;) ....um, I feel I need to say this every once in a while...TAKE EVERYTHING I SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT! I AM NOT A PRO! IF YOU GET HURT DOING ANY OF THE SILLY THINGS I DO DURING TRAINING THATS YOUR FAULT!BY USING ANY INFORMATION ACQUIRED FROM THIS SITE AT YOUR OWN RISK....ah, much better.....GAME ON!
