With IEEE set to ratify the 802.11i standard its important for all of us network monkeys to understand just exactly what it is.  I looked around for about half an hour today attempting to find something on it that would be worth posting and finally found this great article at dailywireless.org.  With the changes that this standard will be making to WEP we can all finally stop worrying about our 802.11 traffic being sniffed (well, at least until its been in the wild for some time ;) ).  Since it can use a Radius server it will also be important to understand how Radius servers work...you can start playing with an open source radius server or if you prefer Microsoft I'd suggest reading Enterprise Deployment of Secure 802.11 Networks Using Microsoft Windows.  Also if you want to get really geeky you should read about the Rijndael (pronounced Rain Doll) block cipher that replaced DES/3DES as the Advanced Encryption Standard.  On another note there are a lot of interesting conspiracy theories about the matrices used in 3DES.....enough rambling for now.
