Good
I've recently been promoted to Development Manager for the EPM team here in Ealing, which will present some new and hopefully interesting challenges for me over the weeks and months to come.
Bad
My father-in-law passed away suddenly on Christmas Day. It was a great shock to all the family, and I don't think any of us have fully come to terms with it yet.
Ugly
No posts in January! That even pushes "sporadic" to its limits...

The first two of these have clearly had some impact on the third, but possibly not so much as my switch to del.icio.us for my staple of link 'blogging. Whatever the reasons, I need to rethink my approach to 'blogging and have come up with the following:
  1. Continue posting here, but only short and (hopefully) though-provoking posts intended to get more feedback than I have previously managed. Hopefully this conversational style might be easier to maintain.
  2. Start 'blogging internally at work, where I have less to worry about in terms of what I should and shouldn't say, and hope that these posts also generate some useful material that can be used directly or adapted for wider consumption.
Has anyone out there gone through this process before? What approach(es) did you take? And how successful where they?

Answers on a postcard by comment please...
